OUR FURRY KIDS
We have 3 Yorkshire Terriers. Brandy the oldest was a birthday gift to me from my husband, George. We got her in 2000. In 2001 we decided Brandy needed a companion so we got Bo as a mate.
Now, Brandy has had 2 litters of 4 puppies each. The 2nd litter had the smallest, cutest baby faced pup I had ever seen. I just could not part with her and that's how we got Bubbles!
Brandy ended up bonding with George more than me and is really "his" baby. Bo is the only male dog but he is the biggest coward there is! He is terrified of thunder or any noise that is not common to him. Bubbles is still a daddy's girl at 3 years old she snuggles and plays with Bo, and Bo takes care of her.
Yorkie Terriers are like having kids they are very spoiled. However they are very good watch dogs, no one can get near our home without them alerting us, especially at night. The below picture was taken Christmas 2004.
They are very much apart of our family and we love them and so do our grandkids. Our Yorkies can't wait to see the grand children come to visit us.

The Yorkshire Terrier
There are many little terrier dogs
Of every size and hue, But the one I'd like to mention here Is shaded tan and blue. He's a cocky little devil And he isn't any saint,
But a sappy little lap-dog Is the very thing he ain't! He struts along the garden path His eyes boot-button bright,
And God help any straying cat That comes into his sight. His owners fear no burglars For every sound he hears,
The softest, quietest footsteps Will not pass his pricked up ears. And if he is disturbed at night
Or danger is at hand, He makes more of a racket Than a fifty piece brass band! Author Unknown

If dogs were teachers,
you would learn stuff like...When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience. Let others know when
they've invaded your territory. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...
run right back and make friends. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
